WOah! 1 Peter 5:7, "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you." (NIV) I have always read this verse to mean don't worry , God loves you! Tonight however I read it completely different! We don't have to worry because God does that for us. Of course he doesn't worry but when we are in the midst of fear and worry, we forget that God already cared about the situation for us. I always thought of the words care in this verse as a more passive verb, he loves me, he take care of me. This view makes it a very proactive verb! He has already cared about this moment in my life, this decision, this relationship before I even knew what fear and worry were! Man sometimes I can make God so small in my mind! Thanks God for just being so great!
